HTC Vive, the a Full-body virtual reality system preorders have just opened, to be shipped on April 5th at a price of $799 in the US.
The preorders opened from 10am ET Monday 02/29.

The Vive is pricer than the Oculus Rift ($499) but you will get more than a headset. In addition to the headset, two controllers,two base stations and the Vive’s laser tracking system.
Also, You will get a bonus of three games and apps: tongue-in-cheek physics game Job Simulator, engineering puzzle game Fantastic Contraption and impressive 3D painting tool Tilt Brush.
The Vive will require a high-end computer to be able to power its system, Nvidia GTX 970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 graphics cards, at minimum.
As well as playing games the Vive can also be linked with a mobile phone to receive and respond to incoming calls, see text messages and check calendar invites through the headset.
